Back-to-School: Now What?

Students across the state have been in school for a month, maybe more depending on where you live. Sometimes it takes a while for the school to recognize the needs of your unique child or student, but as you settle in to the new routine they become more apparent. Are you or your child experiencing any bumps in the back-to-school road?

One service PEAK offers to Colorado families is parent advising in spanish, english, and even arabic. Our trained parent advisors provide individualized information, support, and referrals to families by phone, email, and in-person. Information is available on a variety of topics including the special education process and parent rights, access to inclusive schools and communities, positive behavior supports, transition to adulthood, and much more! You can reach our parent advisors by calling 719-531-9400 or by emailing parentadvisor@peakparent.org. In the meantime, grab a cup of tea and savor a moment with us because we have an article back by popular demand. Take a look at “7 Back-to-School Tips to Start the Year Off Right."
