Danielle Angotti is the founder of the Arc of West Central Colorado and joined PEAK in 2017 as a Board Member. Danielle became involved with PEAK to both seek out information that would help her children become more included in their schools, as well as to cultivate meaningful avenues of collaboration between PEAK and the ARC. As a result of her involvement with PEAK, Danielle says that she has become a better mother to her children and their needs and a stronger voice for all children in the community. Danielle’s children are her driving force, and she believes that disability does not have to stop your dreams. Diversity is everywhere and we must learn to embrace it because inclusion is good for everyone.
Having grown up in California, a fun fact about Danielle is that she would live in the water but since it is not possible, chocolate is equally likely to put a smile on her face. Danielle is most grateful for her two children because they have taught her two of life’s biggest lessons: 1) to smile and be HAPPY even when you don’t want to and 2) staying in bed won’t stop the fire from happening around you get out move - for resilience will get you far.
Danielle has an associate's degree is in psychology and is currently taking classes toward a degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology to pursue her passion of helping individuals with special needs who end up in the criminal justice system.
